Read 10 books or 1000 pages and do two activities each from the Learn and Discover sites (and tell us below what you did) to win a free book and a chance to win a bicycle.

A summer adventure for kids begins by picking up discovery notes at any Sno-Isle Library or logging in here to earn a free book and the chance to win a bicycle. Then explore our electrifying summer lineup of fun, fabulous and free activities:
• Explore space, raptors, bubbles, germs and more!
• Special guests include Seattle Bug Safari, Reptile Man Scott Petersen, and magicians Jeff Evans and The Amazing Marcus.
• Score free tickets to an AquaSox game (while supplies last) and enter a drawing to throw out the first pitch.
• Plus, Pacific Science Center workshops, movies, science, LEGO, Explore Summer Finisher Celebrations, and so much more.

Last year more than 11,000 kids participated in our summer program. Join us so we can explode that number and have even more kids this summer!

Activity
While camping by the Columbia River, I was exploring the rocks by the river bank and found a Geocache without any tacking device. I had to track down the park ranger to figure out more about the box. He gave me a ranger passport to track my findings and showed me pictures from the late 1800s showing steamboats gathering by Lincoln Rock to collect the grain/wheat from Eastern Washington to transport to the West.
Activity
This summer I went camping at Lincoln Rock By Wenatchee. I caught 2 fish that had interesting pricks on their back. Later that day, we learned that they are called sticklebacks.
Activity
I used a pink shirt for a tie-dye project. I used green, red and teal. All the colors turned out dark with brown undertones from the pink in the shirt. The pattern was plain spiral.
Activity
I made paintings using an old tooth brush by rubbing the bristles with my thumb and spraying the fine color drops on the paper around a cutout stencil.
